Vox Eminor have defeated Archaic in the final of the MSi Beat it! Oceanic qualifier and have now booked themselves a spot in the World Final in China on the 22nd of November. The Oceanic qualifier attracted a great response from the Australian and New Zealand communities with 39 teams registering. After day one, this was cut down to twelve, and then into four as the bracket started. With the two heavy favourites on either side of the bracket, it was only a matter of time before they faced off with Vox making light work of Cool Boy Clan, and Archaic winning a three map thriller verses AVANT-GARDE. The final began with de_inferno_se and Archaic came out guns blazing picking up ten rounds as Counter-terrorists. Vox regained their composure winning all the tight situations and putting up a massive CT half restricting Archaic to just two more rounds. The map ending 16-12 to Vox Eminor. Both teams then moved onto de_nuke_se which saw Archaic once again pick up the knife round and start as the more favoured CT's. Unlike the first map, Vox really started on the front foot and amassed nine rounds as T's. With this commanding lead, Archaic were helpless and eventually fell 16-6. Broken tag Vox Eminor have now secured their place in the MSi Beat it! World Final + $2000usd for expenses. The team has also expressed interest in travelling through to Sweden the following week to contest DreamHack Winter. |
